Finland in December 2017 celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. On this occasion, throughout the year 2017, various events, concerts, exhibitions and other events throughout Finland will take place. Celebrations commenced on 31 December 2016 in Helsinki at a magnificent festival attended by some 130,000 visitors. The program was prepared for all ages. Approximately 1,000 people and 300 performers participated in its preparation. The main theme of the evening was Together / Spolu. The festival also featured a show of recent history and present-day Finland, which was attended by almost 50,000 spectators and a further 1.5 million viewers in front of the TV screens.

The projection to one of its parts – devoted to the architecture of ESITYS ARKKITEHTUURI – was created by TRAKT, a civic association in Trencin. The preparation for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Finnish independence was attended by Pavol Soukal (TRAKT), Tomáš Storinsky and Viktor Vilkovsky under the creative performance of Lukáš Matejka (TRAKT). The director and choreographer of the dance-visual show was taken over by Radoslav Piovarči (TRAKT). In a nearly 4-minute audiovisual performance, five dancers and dancers from Slovakia, four from Finland and one French participated. The communication between the various components was mainly provided by Rado and Ondrej Gece from production. On the music side, the project was shot by a young producer Pjoni devoted mainly to electronic music. Martin Kotúček contributed to the project. The prestigious Finnish architect Sami Rintala gave us valuable advice on Finnish architecture in online consultations.
