All started at 9PM on Friday, 1st of June 2016 in the city park. The story introduced Porro (Adrián Ohrádka), a little-known clown and the story of his love to a gypsy dancer Jolanka.
The open air event called „Stories from Trenčín“ incorporated rope walking, vertical wall dancing-Acrobatic Group Argolla, traditional hunting – Hunting Association Hector, gypsy dance-Gipsy Angels from Podskalka, horses, a fire show and a new circus performance-Cirkus-kus, whose members have left caravans and let animals in the nature. The audience’s attention was captured by levitating performers. Trenčín city was represented by a traditional music group Musica Poetica, Campanillas dancers, horses and carriages from Santana ranch, acrobats from Born to Trick, two large-scale projections on castle’s wall and Piaristické gymnázium’s facade by TRAKT. There is also a book about Porro’s love story by Vlado Kulíšek with Jozef Vydrnák’s illustrations.
