Digital graffiti in Trnava
Even graffiti on the Trnava Town Hall building, Peter Bročka, the Mayor of Trnava, is already looking forward to it. As a small tasting before the Festival of Light and Shadow 2019 – Trnava we bring you the opportunity to spray the town hall with digital graffiti. You get a spray in your hands, squeeze the nozzle, and there the similarity to the classic spraying techniques ends because:
-> You will spray to places where only Spiderman or unknow on the platform.
-> You will make paintings as big as an elephant.
-> You will not damage the historical facade, because it is a digital projection.
TRAKT brings you this FREE experience at the Light and Shadow Festival. See you on Friday 30.8.2019 and 13.9.2019 in Trnava after dark.

Comenius Square comes alive
Comenius Square is a tiny joint behind the historic building of the Slovak National Theater, which OZ TRAKT in cooperation with the city of Bratislava modified and designed elements for revitalization of this public space. So that it belongs to the inhabitants of the city and brings culture and relaxation to the city center. Hand in hand with the Green Patrol we cleaned this space first and then created a concept that will revive this former parking lot.
You can look forward to a cultural program from local artists, as well as a table tennis tournament, dance workshops and children’s theaters. Refreshments will be provided by two local food trucks offering fresh street food.
If you would like to enrich this space with your own activities, please contact us and we will be happy to include you in the creative programming process.

Christmas composition
Around Christmas time, TRAKT realized a creative output using digital technologies in the area of Trenčín. The Christmas composition took place in the epicentre Peace Square after dark on the 22nd and 23rd of December 2018. The audio-visual abstract composition is the exploration of artistic activities in the field of video-research and digital projection, which TRAKT civil society has been realizing regularly since 2009.
Video mapping with Christmas content was created especially on the reconstructed facade of the Piarist Church (Roman Catholic Church of St. Francis Xavier). The church is the dominant of the western part of Peace Square and rightly belongs to the most beautiful sacred baroque monuments in Slovakia. The Trenčín church is characterized by a two-tower facade, just like the Vienna University Church and the Trnava University Church. Our unconventional project used the main front as well as the significant audience potential during the city’s Christmas markets. The project is part of ArtLAB. It supported the Arts Fund and the city of Trenčín from the public sources.

Festival of Light and shadow 2018
The Festival of Light and Shadow 2018, a member of the Germany based international association of festivals ECOMOVE International, since last year, has already seen a significant and growing interest of the broad and professional public in contemporary multi-gen art. Over the first four years of the festival, more than sixty-five thousand inhabitants and visitors of Banská Bystrica have seen and experienced about eighty light projects. Every year the festival offers a unique opportunity to young artists and students of art schools to present their visual works. The organizer of the festival is the TRAKT Civic Association, in cooperation with the City of Banská Bystrica, the Association of Creatives, the Civic Association Zaťiva na amfiteátri and the company Via MRG.
The fourth edition of the two-day multi-genre Festival of Light and Shadow took place on Friday, September 21 and Saturday, September 22, from 7:30pm to 11:00pm, in the central area of Banska Bystrica. The festival, which ranks among the biggest artistic events in Banská Bystrica, presented light stories at more than twenty places in the historic city center. The festival was opened by the Mayor of Banská Bystrica Ján Nosko on Friday, September 21 to a great drum show of the Campana Batucada group at SNP square. The festival offered exceptional projects this year where light and shadow animated restless walls and told stories. There were included light and audio-visual projections, videomappings, interactive lighting installations for children and adults, inspirational and innovative connection of light and fashion design and water wall holography at the river Hron with the theme of the ancient and contemporary world hidden in water. On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Hotel Národný dom, moving abstract Art Deco-style lighted figures appeared directly on the facade of the historic building. Videomapping was used to illuminate and brighten journey from darkness to light on the facade of the church of St. Elizabeth. Together with light art, live art was also featured in the city by the dancers of Human Art Space from Bratislava, artists from Sladovne Písek from the Czech Republic, Teatro Komika from Slovakia, L1 Association – Márta Ladjánszki from Hungary and students of the J. Bella secondary art school from Banská Bystrica. All installations of visual works and live art were freely accessible to visitors at many sites, including SNP square, Dolná Street, Národná Street, the bank of the river Hrone, the area of SNP Museum and the square in front of Europa Shopping Centre. This year’s Light Festival was a part of the European Year of Cultural Heritage and young creative artists from five countries – Italy, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia participated.
The accompanying program of the festival was also interesting. It offered a moderated discussion on the topic of Is art a bubble or can it also reach a person with mass taste? On Saturday, the festival was revived by a light cycling event organized by the Civil Cycloinitiative in Banská Bystrica. For the first time, the festival also held an After Party – on Friday, September 21, at Urban Spot, the headliner of which was the band Medial Banana. The festival’s main sponsoring partner is the Fair Foundation O2. The festival also received financial support from the Slovak Arts Council, the International Visegrad Fund, the City of Banská Bystrica and the Banská Bystrica self-governing region. The main media partner of the festival was the public Radio and TV of Slovakia and Radio Regina. Overall, the festival utilized 26 media outlets in electronic and print media presenting information about the preparation and course of the Light and Shadow Festival. The Festival of Light and Shadow, especially two of its light installations, was the winner of the original European Mobility Week (EMW) national competition event in Slovakia in 2018. The City Cycle tour and Cyclotriptych, organized by the citizens during the Festival simultaneously with the Dayless Car Activity were original and the form of their design was noteworthy.

Lovely Experience
The gigantic Lovely Experience festival took place on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Trnava Square in Trnava. The famous names of the world’s EDM like Digitalism arrived, not even the representatives of the home ending like Inkwall, DJ EKG and Changing Faces, who played their sets directly from the balcony of Jan Palarik Theater.
The festival also took part in a ten minute show – videomapping at the Town Tower in Trnava from the TRAKT. The striking audiovisual theater pointing to the city that was the crossroads of business trips highlighted the first mention of Little Rome, celebrating Trnava’s largest and at the same time the oldest fortification in Slovakia, but did not forget to dedicate itself to the promotion of Trnava to the free royal city.
Of course, until the fourth morning, the music can not be left loud on the biggest Trnava square, so before midnight there was a silent disco format with special headphones that offered two music channels. Choosing between the intense drum’n’bass mix and the more conservative cost of house and pop music.

Nova Dubnica graffiti
Interactive art for the public space, titled Nova Dubnica graffiti, took place on June 2, 2018 at the Mierove namestie – Square in Nova Dubnica (Slovakia). Artists from the civic association TRAKT composed of Mgr. art. Lukáš Matejka, ArtD. and Pavol Soukal has prepared the concept of light projection for a unique architecture by Jiri Kroha. Spectators have the opportunity to try to create – creating visual ornaments on their own skin (using an interactive escort). Recycling of old patterns has enabled real-time viewers to fold into a new, contemporary form. There have been so many interesting light paintings. Ornaments were gathered directly from the facades and facades of Nova Dubnica. These were subsequently digitized by postproduction. In spite of the brief interruption of the event by the cloud break, the interactive part of the program was to celebrate the celebration of the 61st anniversary of the town of Nova Dubnica. The project was sponsored by the Slovak Arts Council and the City of Nova Dubnica. We thank you.

This was not a regular driver’s license, driver’s license but the Santa Claus harness. He shot anyone who tried to drive digital harness. Záprah was shown via large projection on the white façade and the towers directly from the Peace Square.
