PechaKucha 20×20 is a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the images.
We will meet on May 25, 2019 at 1.Mája Street in Trenčín at the event called Trenčín na Korze and TRAKT will be there.
What is Pecha Kucha Night 20 × 20?
The theme of this first PK is “What is Art, Culture, Design, and Architecture in Trencin”. Our idea is to show people in Trenčín other clever people who has been contributing to the cultural development of the city.
Our goal to present activities associated with the cultural development of the city. Viewers will learn about ideas, creative thoughts, dreams. They will also learn a lot of information about running projects, motivation and demotivation, obstacles or perhaps even about some unexpected help.
Pecha Kucha Night is a platform founded in Tokio by two architects: Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham. A platform had already extended to the whole world. The main goal is to bring to an audience new thoughts by a projection and short, constructive discussion.
19th year of Pecha Kucha Night took place in the Studio of dance and movement Alegria in Trnava on Wednesday 21st September 2016. TRAKT is a civil association whose aim is to promote arts and cultural activities. It has been created by Lukáš Matejka and Štefan Oliš in 2009. It has 12 members. The two founders introduced
themselves at the 18th PechaKucha Night in Koppel Villa in Trnava on 7 April 2016. PechaKucha Night was devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Tokyo’s KleinDytham Architecture and quickly spread around the world. It introduces audiences to new ideas and insights by showing images. The images advance automatically and the speaker talks along to the images. The concept behind PechaKucha talks is to avoid talking too much.
In the area of Zlín legendary House of Art – Bata monument – symbol of culture and extraordinary Baťa architecture, just prior to the next stage of building modifications took place already the third Pecha Kucha Night Zlín.
PKN had planned launch on Feb. 25, 2015 (symbolically at 20:20), thus becoming the last action before reconstruction of the building. The event was presented together 10 presenters, various fields, focus, and ways of expression. Zlin regions PKN presented HRA U13 – Pavel Novák and Michal Ščuglík (CZ), puojd – Michaela Bednárová (SK), Andrii Konontsev (Crimea), Tereza Damcová (CZ), Zlin potty (CZ), Radek Petříček (CZ), Jana Janíková (CZ), Roman Šedina (CZ), Dalibor Stříbný (CZ). Among them was also represented TRAKT, which presented the two founders of the association Lukas Matejka (SK) and Štefan Oliš (SK). Each of the participants used their time of presentation 6.40 min. own style. Presentation time has been strictly defined, as the project is PKN international format 20×20, which means 20 slides x 20 seconds. Representatives of the TRAKT sought in this ultra short time together to present activities and projects TRAKT. In condensed speech before some 300 spectators mentioned briefly the most important projects of more than 5 years history.
Once again demonstrated the importance of networking and cooperation, which in future may form an important network, which helps in the formation of mycelium for Culture and Arts. Poodchýlili thus in a short time back door to Zlín – city of design where every step feel the presence of Bata University and progressive spirit.
