TRAKT is preparing an international festival of light-art, which will take place in the centre of the Central Povazie region – the city of Trenčín. This concept came as an impulse from Trenčín 2026 during the candidacy of the city of Trenčín for the European Capital of Culture 2026. This project will be called Light Art Festival Trenčín, but we are already using the abbreviated name LAF-ko.
The festival will bring to the public space of the city intermedia artists, new digital media that will transform streets, parks, squares and undiscovered spaces into a contemporary Light-art gallery. The festival will include interactive installations, luminographs, large-scale video mappings and video art.
In 2024 we will bring the first activities related to light-art and in 2025 the first edition of the festival will take place.
