Vlkolinec

Vlkolínec – a lively village that was declared by the Slovak government in 1977 as a monumental reservation of folk architecture in order to permanently protect the cultural values of this locality and as an intact settlement unit, which in terms of homogeneity does not have a comparable set of houses within the Central European territory, was included in the World Heritage List the UNESCO World Heritage Committee approved the registration of Vlkolínca on December 11, 1993 in the Colombian town of Cartagena). Signing up to the list confirms the uniqueness and universal value of cultural or natural sites that require protection for the benefit of all mankind.
