Porto, the city that gave its name (and port wine), is Portugal’s second largest metropolis (after Lisbon). This city is also called Oporto Saing. It is indeed an old city, but it is not fixed. The old town with its center in Ribeira was built on a hill above the Douro River and is included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage program.
