]]> Lukáš Matejka (TRAKT) participated his own projections on the international project Equinox. Equinox is the result of a two-year cycle of creative stays in France, Mexico, Hungary and Slovakia. It is a multidisciplinary international performance experimenting with the boundaries of ourselves, with little-crossed forms such as classical and contemporary dance, opera, contemporary classical music, theater, video art and animation.

Kafka’s “America” and “Lock” novels served as the subject of the project, as were the stories of illegal immigrants leaving today from Mexico to the United States. The atmosphere is based on Karol Beff’s original musical work, which won the title of Best French Composer in 2013. Directed by the French director and artistic director of Euroculture Laurent Festas. The introduction of the Equinox was premiered in the summer under the Marseille – Provence 2013 program.

]]> Two animated characters Kamil and Klara detonated a few minutes before midnight at the turn of 2013 and 2014 an unconventional visual and acoustic “projection mapping fireworks.” Millenium mapping project shows the current new media art in public space. Videomapping to cooperate musician and a number of creative artists, all under the supervision of copyright Lukáš Matejka (TRAKT).

At Theater Square in the city center Martin left the audiovisual certainly a game that was started a few seconds before midnight on the audience nice experience. After the outbreak of the New Year celebrations are both complementary digital signage with real fireworks around the square. Millen glass building (construction year 2003) was an interesting movie screen, aquariums, technocratic room that is visually slightly collapsed.

]]> For the December event ‘Magic of Christmas in Trenčín artists Lukas Matejka (TRAKT) and Pavol Soukal created visual mapping projections, particular for a symbol of Trenčín – City Tower. White facade of a historic building provides an ideal projection screen for theirs mapping. The diversity of structure filled artists by advent Christmas motives. The project titled “Illuminations Advent” had its premiere last advent weekend – 21th December 2013 (Saturday) and then a day later reprise 22th December 2013 (Sunday). For small and big ones and all visitors of urban Christmas markets of Trenčin, in the location of Mierove Namestie, TRAKT again prepared unique visual show, which made yet again a pleasant Christmas atmosphere.

]]> TRAKT (SK) and Mamapapa (CZ) took part in the December residence “Nomads Land” in Prague. The area of DIVUS SPACE was for artists the base and working studio, from where they had realized field studies of the locations. Task of the artists Tomas Žižka, Michaela Bottková and Lukas Matejka was to create beam art projections in Prague public space. Designed visuals artists represent as a direct reactions to memory of events in January 1969, around the personality of Jan Palach. With research issues actively helped Ondrej Šulc and project coordinator Michal Somoš. For documentation of the project was involved Dominik Žižka. The project (sub-realization)  is part of multimedia opera Hopes & Memories and in 2013 was supported by Visegrad Fund.

]]> During the Christmas time, 14th of December 2013 was held animation and VJ workshop in the foyer of the Regional Cultural Centre in Prievidza, under the professional guidance of Matej Mazák and Lukáš Matejka (TRAKT). Workshop participants (workshop was focused on the non-professional) learned the history of VJ and animated film and they also got basic overview of  these exciting creative techniques. The second part was focused on practical form of education. Participants tried out stop-motion techniques, or work in editing software and create their first own film work.

]]> TRAKT (Michaela Bottková) spent the second weekend of November in Budapest, Hungary, where she joined the ongoing dance workshop and a choreographic residency of the Hopes and Memories project. Participants had during these 10 days opportunity to work on a common choreography, and gain knowledge of their different approaches. They also worked at conceptual basis-motion line for the final project Hopes and Memories. Over the weekend, completed by the team of visual artists TRAKT (Trencin) and Mamapapa (Prague), artists had an opportunity to walk through the old streets of Budapest, to see and visit traditional Roma musical family and achieve a lot of sources for inspiration. These will be later used for other beam and screening actions in the public spaces, within the V4 project, which TRAKT currently carried. Together with creative artist from Hungary, Poland and Czech Republic they will project in December 2013 finalize.

]]> The gathering was performed on June 12th – June 13th. There were two participants from civil association TRAKT, Lukas Matejka and Denis Matus. This happening was a part of the project supported by O2 Telefonica called Think Big (Slovak beamvertising) . Two-day long training was developed in cooperation with the Foundation for the Children of Slovakia Foundation Ekopolis Association S. Kovalik – Education for the 21st century in Slovakia and O2. Training, which was focused on the development of social and personal skills, was held in Bratislava. There were 2 lecturers: Tatiana Piovarciova and Alena Matuskova. Participants of this training got to know each other so they can cooperate on the projects in the future. Furthermore, participants have become familiar with communication techniques, which were demonstrated in practical exercises. In each block of instruction we learned and tested differences between criticism and feedback, as well as to reflect the correct feedback, active listening and its components, motivation and communication, paraphrasing, summarizing, and much more. The most interesting thing observed by the TRAKT members was the idea of alternative education directed to children in elementary school. During the class break, they had the opportunity to look into this type of class and talk directly with school students and teachers. You can find more info about this education method here.

]]> During the last October week visual team from Hopes and Memories project took a place in Košice, in east part of Slovakia. Artist from TRAKT and Mamapapa met there for three days and they focused on artistic creation of unique beamvertising projection, which was developed and screened in the night streets of Kosice last day of residency. Artists were during 48 hours discovering surrounding, suburbs, and historical city center to catch as much impacts as was possible.
 
During the Kosice Visegrad residency in first evening in the Tabačka Kulturfabrik placement artists presented theirs previous projects, inspirations and ideas. They also dedicated special part of talk to explanation about the vision of the common project Hopes and Memories. The discussion with audience after the talk was stimulating part and a crucial key to the upcoming artistic creation. Morning and daytime sessions were devoted to sharing different artistic admittances and progress in survey. After two days of creative session, visual team was able to present a public work in progress called Nomadsland.
 
 With the help of locals, visual team discovered important informations about Kosice history as well as major leading figures from Kosice domestic art scene. Kosice environs was great material for researching. For example Alžbetina street is a pedestrian zone leading to the main street, where there is also a statue of Julius Jakoby immortalized in bronze signif by the famous sculptor Juraj Bartus. And he seemed to be exactly that person of Kosice, who we could take over as the visual icon of the city. Always hunched weirdo, passing through the city. Joining also the local graffiti scene, we followed iconic texts that accompany the Kosice inhabitants every day to work and almost in every street. This sentences were something as a open speech of the frank nowadays young society. All these sources were great inspiration for the resulting beamvertising. All the symbols, characters and metaphors were transposed to the hefty visualization.
 
 The public event was held in the streets over three hours, and these moving images were reflection of our found property. Action called NomadsLand brought and kept strong and vibrant output, which will be useful for next residencies and also as a visual material for the final project.

]]> The ceremonial vernissage of the exhibition will take place on Friday, 4th October 2013 at 7 p.m. in the  Hall of theatre – House of Arts Piešťany. During the fashion show (which will be a part of the vernissage) the fashion designers Andrejka Pojezdálová, Renáta Barancová, Veronika Kostková, Petra Pršová and fashion design graduates of the Arts High school in Trenčín will present their collections. The fashion show will be accompanied by the performance of the rapper VLADIS. Diana Hagerová will host the opening ceremony. During the vernissage, visitors can taste specialty dishes made by students of the Hotel academy of Ľudovít Winter in Piešťany as well as delicious sushi by Wasabi sushi Trnava. The exhibition will be taking place until 27th October 2013 and will be open from 12 a.m. to 6 p.m.
