Žilina shines with New Year’s light

We are pleased to announce that our civic association TRAKT, in cooperation with the city of Žilina, is preparing a unique New Year’s Eve experience. We will decorate beautiful Žilina with an enchanting light show – video mapping, which will come to life on the facade of the Church of the Conversion of St. Paul on Marian Square. We want the New Year’s Eve night in Žilina to be unforgettable. Videomapping is a modern and visually impressive way to celebrate the arrival of the New Year and create an atmosphere of joy and anticipation. We have prepared a stunning visual spectacle that will transport you into a world of fantasy. You will witness a unique symbiosis of art, technology and architecture.

When and where?

When: New Year’s Eve, 31 December 2024, we start a few seconds before midnight

Where: Marian Square, Žilina (on the facade of the Church of the Conversion of St. Paul)

Interpellation

A full-length dance performance / conceptual movement form for four dancers where choreography overlaps with fine art.

The author / director of the project is Tomáš Moravanský, working in the field of intermedia, conceptual and dramatic works. He focuses on audiovisual projects, opera direction, gallery installations, music and choreography. The production line of the project is covered by TRAKT.

The introduction of Interpellation deals with human movement as a daily, work or social programmed form – a register of civil movements that do not fall into dance but can be its starting material. These are activities related to the creation and interpretation of a work of art and leisure activities in which the actor automatically enters ecstatic state and in which the process itself is important. The project adopts a choreography understood as a system of power control over the human body in activities that are understood in society as a manifestation of freedom or individualism.

Light melody

Audiovisual show Light melody combines digital artwork with electronic music – remixed by Dj DayD. The project introduces new multimedia technologies – digital graffiti developed by artists from the civic association TRAKT and software program vvvv, which has been specially designed to draw light on the computer.

This method will create a thematic story inspired by a selection of songs with different genres. The aim of the performance is to bring the general public to the development of new digital artistic tools used in the direction of visual music.

The project will take place at EMÓCIA Gallery & Caffe Club in Žilina and is a part of his diploma thesis in Drawing and Audiovisual Arts for the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Granada, Spain.

Pure

PURE dance performance without the story, focusing on the rim of physicality. Two dancers ponukajte their body’s own presence to investigate the purity observed as a presence on stage. Body straightforward story idea. Itself is strong enough medium. Purity movement is often more telling than words, is not we focus on the creative process. Rights of the human body was for us especially “character” in discovering unusual movement skill virtuosity. We were looking for a form of cooperation with the music, and dance music is not trying to explain to each other but where the gas parallel to each other, forming a single image. PURE toured during 2015 2016 in Ostrava (CZ) in Wroclaw (Poland) in Banská Bystrica, Bratislava, Zilina (SK).

Fest Anca

International Festival of Animated Films “Fest Anča” took place 18th – 22nd of June 2014 in Zilina. Matej Mazák (member of TRAKT) was the stage and projection manager, he also participated on Fest Anča ptching forum. The goal of the forum was to present Slovak animators and their new animated projects to the Slovak institutions, through which is possible to co-finance the projects – and vice versa. Also the Radio and Television of Slovakia were presented, Audiovisual Fond and Creative Europe Desk. The event gave the opportunity for introducing the people each other, to make discussions, networking and looking for more possibilities to support the Slovak animated film. Anča 2014 introduced to Slovak public top animated films of the world.

Comix Jibb Jamm

The exhibition event Jibb snowboard and freeski in Žilina at dormitories Hliny animated by VJ projection (VJ Akjetam). Žilina’s event was run as a free ski show in the town streets, where the artificial snow ramp was made for jumps and acrobatics for skiers and snowboarders. The main benefit of the civic association TRAKT was the projection on buildings around the ramp, which created a unique atmosphere. Content of the projection was abstract and it was directly tied to music.
