During the extended weekend of 15th - 17th September 2017, a digital nomad workshop was held in the premises of the Central Art School in Trencin. Students from the Central Art School Trenčín and from Ludovít Štúr School in Trenčín met together for the first time on Friday, September 15 at 9:00. The workshop was successfully launched by Pavol Paulenda from the Triad Advertising advertising agency. After learning each other, Pavol Paulenda went on to the first pages of the presentation where he introduced students to the world of contemporary and modern advertising.
RECfruit 2017 is a new ambitious project organized by content marketing agency ContentFruiter. The aim of the competition is to support newcomers in the field of video production and to open their way to the world. For participants this may be the start of their career. Prizes for winners and finalists are selected to support the developer's ability to compete. There are few similar competitions in Slovakia. These are, however, mostly dedicated to professionals with many years of experience.
The Light Festival "Illumination" changed in June 2016 to the historical center of Banská Štiavnica night. On June 18, the former mining center and botanical garden from the middle of the 19th century on a razed light city transformed into one night after a nightingale. The festival was held with the creative support of students of art schools and artists using modern imaging and projection technologies to create a unique visual experience. The program also enriched the exhibition, or local BLUR photoclub, which prepared Camero obscuru in the premises of the Cultural Center.
The snow-covered village environment of the village Dúbravica provided from 3 to 5 February 2017 a creative "shelter" for five young artists - students from the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica - Faculty of Fine Arts - Department of Intermedia and Digital Media. The creative process took place in the former state nursery school, currently managed by the artistic organization Periférne centrá. Under the guidance of Mgr. art. Lukáš Matejka, ArtD. (TRAKT) students had created the prototypes at the intersection of light object and material experiment.
On January 24 and February 13, 2017, The Mapping Workshop was held at the Secondary School of Arts in Trencin, with young lecturer Pavol Soukal (TRAKT). On the two-course workshop had students of the third grade of photographic design opportunity to learn basics of digital video mapping and its application in contemporary visual art, and to learn the setup and making of in some most common softwares used for video mappings. The workshop ended with a projection of created visuals and with demonstration of interactive control over the projections with midi controller and makey makey.
As part of the Week of Science and Technology in Slovakia, on the 9th November 2016 Secondary School in Banská Bystrica prepared presentations and workshops for professionals called "multimedia - new branch of study for secondary schools." During the presentation professionals, experts, artists and teachers from secondary schools and universities were also given a word. Separate presentation was focused on creative art projects of Multimedia which was prepared for students and the public by Mgr. art. Lukas Matejka, ArtD. (TRAKT).
Park camp is a project taking place in Trebišov’s park from 18th to 23rd of July 2016 organised by members of „OZ KONTEXT“ Peter Valiska -Timečko and Branislav Zurko. The role of the lecturers was taken by Lukáš Matejka and Štefan Oliš from „TRAKT“ and their external colleague Ján Ančic took. The target group of Park camp 3 were students of art universities. The project was focused on video and sound art. The aim was a creation of pieces of art responding to the park ambiance - site-specific art.
Visual 3D scanning has become one of the symbols of modern times. He came to be used not only at design proposals in medicine but also in videos and film. But the opposite is true. It is possible to scan financially and technologically demanding through laser scanners. But in now largely the use of available low-cost technologies, DIY solutions.
Within the doctoral studies at the Studio of digital media (Doc. Michal Murin, ArtD.) At the Department IDM, Faculty of Fine Arts, the Academy of Arts in Banska Bystrica Mgr. art Lukas Matejka preparations for the original presentation with the focus to after-school activities for bachelor and master studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts. The aim of the lecture was to direct the potential of young artistic creation in extra-curricular context in practice. The fair practice, project beyond Penthouse award is a very important part of the study, which students realize until later editions.
