field research

Field research or fieldwork is the collection of information outside of a laboratory, library or workplace setting. The approaches and methods used in field research vary across disciplines. For example, biologists who conduct field research may simply observe animals interacting with their environments, whereas social scientists conducting field research may interview or observe people in their natural environments to learn their languages, folklore, and social structures.


Park camp 3

Park camp  is a project taking place in Trebišov’s park from 18th to 23rd of July 2016 organised by members of „OZ KONTEXT“ Peter Valiska -Timečko and Branislav Zurko. The role of the lecturers was taken by Lukáš Matejka and Štefan Oliš from „TRAKT“ and their external colleague Ján Ančic took. The target group of Park camp 3 were students of art universities. The project was focused on video and sound art. The aim was a creation of pieces of art responding to the park ambiance - site-specific art.

Creative lab - creative youth

Art has gone rampant in the heart of Slovakia. We are pleased to announce that our organisation - TRAKT - is participating in the V4 Creative Youth project. These days, all team members from Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia have met face to face for the first time in Banska Bystrica during five days long V4 Creative Lab activity. The stage is set, site-specific research has been succesful, performances are in production and we would love to see you at the Festival of Light and Shadow, September 30th – October 1st in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia.

Luminography workshop

On the periphery of the village took place lumino Dúbravica graphic workshop. This photographic project on Student designs of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Banska Bystrica realized peripheral centers in cooperation with the TRAKT.

Nomads land Praha

TRAKT (SK) and Mamapapa (CZ) took part in the December residence "Nomads Land" in Prague. The area of DIVUS SPACE was for artists the base and working studio, from where they had realized field studies of the locations. Task of the artists Tomas Žižka, Michaela Bottková and Lukas Matejka was to create beam art projections in Prague public space. Designed visuals artists represent as a direct reactions to memory of events in January 1969, around the personality of Jan Palach.
