Modular dance installation MIMO is a project that aims to - physically - communicate through new forms of contemporary dance and digital media. Installation wishes with its extraordinaryness and new expression means, dynamics of energy and movement, emotional diversity, or mental acrobatics of man. Man with his transformations in an adventurous way from a socially - arid area to a new world. World in which stressful and fast life is under the technology. Factors that affect people so much that they become uncontrollable, "crazy" beings with unpredictable responses.
Project Gepark by Lukáš Matejka and Štefan Oliš from TRAKT group was firstly introduced on Galota festival in August 2016. It combines concentration, balance and harmony during exercising on the special Gepark logs. Slovak music producer Jarduuzzu added a music background, which inspired participants to great performance. The highlight was dancing improvization on Gepark logs by dancers from Human Art Space.
The ninth annual art show of young artists crowded again the House of Art in Piešťany. On the 21st October 2016 spectators visited gala finisage exhibiton of art named Young art show. Paintings, photographs or another kind of art were completed by all sort of clothes which were related by one common thing – worshiping women.
„The animation is reviving lifeless – teachers were learning us this formula all school long. It means the animator gives life to drawings, material or objects. I took it literally,“ Matej Mazák said.
Revived is the stuff, which we see everyday but we hardly notice it – this is the reason, they need our attention and they want to be seen at least the one night a year. Mail box which is nowadays hardly used, old ticket machine which is used for sticking posters or Bratislava´s „periscops“ which are too nice to be forgot on the car park...
Interventions 2014 event is cyclical, annual improvements examination fine art interventions in the public space, of which the first edition was held in 2012. The event takes place in the streets, squares, parks or other public places in Trebišov. Professional artists make up for a week at selected locations around site-specific interventions and works to revitalize public spaces, pointed to problems associated with public space, temporarily altered and awakened existing works of art and to enrich the empty spaces of the artistic value of content.
On the July 15th – 20th there was the first year of Light camp in Trebišov. It is an art symposium focused at lighting and intermedia art in public space of city park in Trebišov. It took place at Koniareň, which is contemporary art place. Cultural center was connected with nature of Trebišov´s park. Through the form of social interventions the participants could use the art of light, new medias and intermedia, site-specific strategies, soundart etc.
There is a process that leads to the origin of an artwork. Mostly it is called the process of creation. It is the activity performed by an artist and it leads to the goal, an artwork. The process of creation is inherently comprised in any artwork, the exhibition In Process, however, attempts to distinguish the creation and its result. Many artists often recollect that the road to the goal and the origin of their artwork are more important than the artwork itself. The exhibition In Process is guided by this idea.
Lighting Up the Wonders of the Elements. In its third edition, SKYWAY ’11 draws the analogy between the richness of the experience that light based art delivers and wonders of the world opened up through our understanding of the Elements of the Universe. The classical four elements – Earth, Water, Air, and Fire – are common to many philosophical traditions around the world and form powerful metaphors of forces fundamental to life on Earth.
