Trencin

Trenčín (Trentsinium or Laugaricio, Trencsén, Trentschin) is one of the three oldest Slovak towns. Trenčín is located in the western part of Slovakia and is the natural geographic center of Central Považia. The main flow in the city is the river Váh. The city is located approximately 120 km northeast of the capital of Slovakia – Bratislava. The Trenčín Castle was built thanks to the strategic location of the place. Trenčín is still an important center of trade, economy, culture and sports. Many institutions and companies have their headquarters and branches. A long tradition in the city has exhibitions and fairs, the city is also known as the city of fashion.
